Help: Subscribing to Site Feed

If you use a My.Yahoo page, Gmail, or many other news aggregators, you have an easy way to keep up with the latest "Second Helpings" discussion guides. This post is an overview of how to use our site feed. These directions are intended for people with moderate computer skills -- beginners may not wish to try this.

A site feed is an easy way to be aware when new discussion guides are posted here. A news reader (which may be built into your homepage) updates each time we add a new discussion guide to this page - making it easy to see when new content is available -- and keeping you from having to manually check in here to see when the latest guide is posted.

Experienced RSS / Atom Users: You know what to do -- add this URL to add our site to your feed: http://www.wayofchrist.info/blog/atom.xml

Others: If you use a My.Yahoo (http://my.yahoo.com) page as your home page, you can easily add this site to your page. Go to the bottom of your page, and click the "Add Content" link. On the next page, click the small link near the "find" box which says "Add RSS by URL." In the next page, paste in our URL (http://www.wayofchrist.info/blog/atom.xml) and click the "Add" button. Finally, click the "Add to My Yahoo" button. Now, your My.Yahoo page will have a small section showing the titles and first paragraphs of recent posts on this site.

Or: If you use Gmail (http://mail.google.com) you can add this page to your "web clips" which appear at the top of each page. Just click "settings" in the top right corner, then click on "web clips" across the top. The page that loads lets you search popular categories or add a feed by URL. Paste our URL (http://www.wayofchrist.info/blog/atom.xml) into the search box and click the "Search" button. The next page gives you a brief preview - click the "Add" button. You can go on using gmail as normal - now, intermingled with the other random web clips you see at the top of the page, you'll see the titles of the most recent Second Helpings posts.

Thanks for checking out the site, and we hope the site feed helps make it easy to access these discussion guides.
