Sometimes when something just hits the spot for us, we want more. Have you ever walked out of Gateway's service on Sunday and thought, "I need to think more about that," or "I want to know how God makes that real for me"? That's what Second Helpings are about... to give a vehicle and encourage you to go further and apply the ideas from each week's message into your life.
Second Helpings are a set of discussion questions to walk you through the main themes of the Sunday message. The questions will be available a few hours after the last service each week. The questions are designed to be used as part of a small group, but can work fine for more informal discussion among friends. You can even think about your answers and write them down alone – though we believe sharing with others will make the concepts more real for you, and you'll learn from others as well. All you'll need is 45 minutes to an hour, some paper and a pen. We also recommend you have a Bible handy in case you want to look up some of the relevant Bible passages from the message (if you don’t have a printed Bible, check out www.biblegateway.com for an online version). At the end of the questions, we often have suggestions for further readings on the topic.

I'm using these in my small group to dig deeper with the current series. We love it! Please keep it up!
I would like to. But our group meets on Sunday afternoons and the questions aren't up until long afterwards. Any chance the follow up can be posted by the end of the 12:30 service or earlier?
When will the March 25th 2nd helping be posted?
Love It - A friend and I get together for weekly chats and escape from the kids. I am hoping o start using this to supplement our sudo-biblestudy.
Sorry for the delay in the March 25th "Second Helpings." We ran into a strange technical problem. The post is up and we're working to correct the problem to prevent future delays.
It's our goal to have the discussion questions up on Sunday. Most of the past weeks have been posted before most of us even get home from attending the service! :)
Jill Smith, my small group leader suggested we look into Second Helpings to go deeper. I have just started doing so and so far it has been good for me to get a clearer picture of what God wants me to get out of the message. It was a great idea to do this! Please keep up the good work!
Good afternoon. I was wondering when the April 01 2nd helpings would be posted?
I have been checking the Second Helpings page occasionally and would really like to find a way to regularly use it in my life, but haven't been able to figure anything out yet. Our small group is already doing another study and my Running Partner group is not interested in doing this. Will keep thinking about it... :)
I am really enjoying the second helpings as I am on the road most of the time during the week.
